I dont keep mine on top of the deck. Look at first pic. Stand and ramps are put away under the deck.

Also.. for anyone interested. The ramps double as load levelers. I have stake sleeves you slide on them. Then just put a 4x4 on top and lay your load how ever you need.

Hurst, are yours stored on the side? Or are you wanting a better location? Ever thought of caster style wheels mounted on one side . I've scene some nice off road style casters.

 

Actually, you shouldn't leave them on the deck anyway. Mine got away from me a few years ago, wriggled right out from under the straps. Caused a lot of flat tires before I could get them dragged out of the center of the interstate. That is some real fun there, playing in 70mph traffic just over the top of a hill.

On another step deck. We attached to sides of the load levelers. If I can find the trailer again. I'll try to get pics

 

If you do that you wouldn't be use them as load levelers. But it'd be easy enough to build a small dolly with four of those.

 

We put three on one edge. Made it easy to roll. The driver has back issues.

Please do,.. I would like to see what it looks like. As useful as the ramps are for loading with out the aid of a dock, I loath having to use them because of how heavy they are. Just pulling them out of the racks and laying them on the ground, then pulling the truck up and then putting everything together, and then having to put it all back when loaded takes every bit of 30 mins. And thats when everything goes nicey nice.
