for the record i'm installing a headache rack because it is required, not for looks. that's why i posted it in the flatbed forum, because i assume it is required for a lot of these guys as well

if it was for looks i would have bought a nice shiny new one and wouldn't be in this bolt-less predicament

btw, QUESTION: am i allowed to set my rack on top of my catwalk? i'm guessing no, but if so it would save me a lot of...headache. as it is i will have to remove the catwalk amd that looks like it's going to be a real btich. the nuts holding it on look hard to get to and rusted on there pretty good. honestly looks like i have to saw the SOB off.... which seems equally difficult.

IF ONLY my dammed stack wasnt in the way and i could put the rack where it's supposed to go. SIGH. been trying to figure out how to get this thing on there for almost a month

to haul pipe? i doubt that. i mean i just cant imagine. it'd be dangerous not to have one.

can you provide me a link? so i can show my employer? because right now this is the last thing i have to take care of before i get started.

i've never seen a pipe hauling truck that didn't have a rack, which is why i'm skeptical

If your employer is requiring you to have one then there isn't much you can do about that, but the feds no longer require a headache rack. Someone will come along and post a link, I am too lazy.

I don't have the link either but there is no requirement for a headboard or headache rack. I see trucks every day with loads of pipe and no rack or headboard. We run them for a place to carry chains, binders, tire chains, bungees, ladders etc.

    Jumbo Thanks this.
