That is because not everyone can do it. It is a tough job that gets in your blood. The carhaul industry as a whole is a very small circle of people. I run into people I have known over the years who have moved on to other companies but stayed in the industry. The buzz around carhaul management is be careful who you piss off, 'cause they may surface down the road as your boss.

I talked to many of their drivers and not one of them had anything bad to say about them. I applied their myself and they said they would hire me but I would have to relocate. In which state do you live?

Most car hauling companys will not hire you unless you have two years of driving experience. The best thing to do is to just find a company that you can get some experience with just driving a truck and getting familiar with things like doing your log book and paperwork correctly and developing your driving skills. Try to get a job where you are driving a flatbed because those skills will translate over to car hauling. The reason for this is that there are so many things you are going to have to learn about hauling cars that driving is going to be the easy part.

I don't know how they are to work for, but they have nice equipment that they turn pretty quick. We bought a few of their "old" trucks, which were quite nice. The last one was a 2012 Pete with a strap trailer that they got rid of when it was only 18 months old. Seems like they get rid of them just as the warranties start to run out. Before that we bought a few 2007 Pete's there were only 2 years old at the time.

    Dan and Old Tex,
I started a car hauling company. I am looking for trainers. Would you guys be interested in helping me train some of my drivers for a consultation fee? Or do you know anyone who can help. I have read your posts and they were very informative. I don't want to me one of the companies that has no integrity and all the bad stuff I hear.
