qualcomm is not much more than a computer tough enough to withstand the roads we run on. Learning a companies programs is easy. Admittedly I am relatively inexperienced but as long as you can mange your clocks, deliver on time and keep the truck in between the lines you're supposed to be then you'll be fine.
What type of places have you put these trailers into? What type of backing have you had to deal with?
I know I'm going to get flamed (but nevertheless I still need some help)

All over the place .. Basically parking lots built for 4 wheelers, when there's a choice between pushing a 4 wheel dolled to the street full of boxes (or a piece of office furniture), and me backing a trailer into a teeny parking lot so I'm at their front door: I choose the latter! Then I hear "wow how did you get that in there" lol
don't get me wrong though, I'm sure I'm a tad rusty -
the SKILL in doing what you describe will serve you well for sure. The point is you have a VERY GOOD understanding of the movements to steer the tail of a trailer.Just need to get used to the length of a 53 or whatever you do get hooked to. You said you were really hoping for tank? Not sure but I think those are 40'?
Anyrate, good luck with your path. If you need to be patient that cant hurt in the big picture. Just keep your nose and record clean between now and then.
The single most important thing in all that you are experiencing now is learning from this and applying it going forward!!!!superpet39 Thanks this. -
There are NO truer words on the internet than that above statement.

Only three ways to skin this cat that I know of. 1 get someone to insure you. 2 Some how get it off your DMV report. 3 Stop drinking 4 ever.
-
1- trying - and I'm confident it'll happen
2- that'll happen when it's purged from MVR 13 years from date of offense
3- I stopped awhile ago (and don't even miss it)Big Don Thanks this. -
Not sure where you are with the company you were talking to, but if that didn't pan out and you still REALLY want to drive truck, here's a suggestion you may or may not like. Texas and North Dakota oilfields are crazy right now. There are tons of startup companies just riding the wave that just want a body in the seat. Hours are long, conditions are miserable, but the money is good. It would at least keep you behind the wheel for awhile till things clear up.

THIS (texas) was my original plan...... But after finding out how uninsurable I am, decided to hold off on the oil fields....... ...
im off to western express orientation, and after I do my time in there, I'm Seriously going to look at the oil fields- and see if the crazy Overtime is still availableBig Don Thanks this.
