I agree. I for one will not tell safety unless you have inadequate securement and you ignore my advice to fix it or add more. Aside from that I don't really care what you do out here as long as it's not something you know is a disaster waiting to happen.

Just last week a friend told me safety called him to find out what speed his truck was at. Someone said he blew past them at 70. Which is funny because my truck is 1 mph faster and I'm at 65 exactly.

Exactly but they still had to question him and look at it. It was an inconvenience to him to have to wait on safety to come look before he could go deliver. These guys are just brown nosers. It is not only the road safety trainers snitching but anyone that thinks they look better if they can get you in trouble.

I can't imagine that there's many of those type out here. I've talked to at least 1/10 of the fleet and haven't seen any... That I know of.

hopefully safety let the newer driver know that he was wrong.

    Well, I just learned something!!!

sitting here waiting for my truck to warm up... CEL light started flashing for idle shut down. Press the clutch if you don't want it to shut down! Don't know if it will do it again in 30 min, but that would have been helpful knowledge when my bunk heater went out!

I don't know anything beyond what I heard there that morning. But yes they do exist. There was one at worthington steel a while back that kept walking around my trailer looking at a coil I had but he never talked to more and safety never called so I just assume he was new and wanted to see how to secure a coil. But he very we'll could have been looking for something to call in on me for. I don't know.

I remember my first coil load. Was picking up with one of our o/o's at Reynolds. 2 22k aluminum shotgun coils. I must have looked at his load for 15 minutes!

Then I talked to him about securing coils and he helped me with mine. Ran in to him again in catoosa picking up power line poles. He helped me again!

maybe I'm just lucky enough to run into the nice drivers.

Is it true that Melton have dash cams looking at drivers. If so why.
