Had a steady January. Back in GP hauling N2 again for a few big 7Gen locations. 3 to 5 million scm on the first well. 2 more wells after that.
    Gonna be a busy February

Had a rippin busy dec and Jan, was about to head back from days off today and the boss called and said it's slow on the board so take an extra day, call tomorrow... It's great to stay home and extra day but I wanna work lol!!! Oh and I can hear the other guys already... Tomorrow morn in the shop... Where are the BC guys? Must be nice to get extra days off...
but the local guys are gone at noon on shop days and we BC guys put in a full shop day, checking trucks, cleaning, making sure stuff works... Of course if my family and house were in sylvan I may be inclined to not come back after lunch either...

    Hey guys,

new to to the forum haven't been driving to long just wondering how do I run my log book when I'm on a 21/7 shift to make it look legal? I'm not the best at this log book stuff. Any thing you guys got would be a great help to me.

If you're running infield - then you might be entitled to apply for an oilfield exemption. There are a lot of variables. What are you hauling? Is it infield?
    Are you a o/o?

Unless you qualify for the oilfield exemption all you can do is keep under 70 in 7 days. Yes it's falsifying your logs but if you are on location not driving you can lose some time to eiter off duty or sleeper. Regardless of what you do KNOW YOUR LIMITS. DO NOT drive when you are too tired. No job or amount of money is worth hurting/killing yourself or some innocent family. Btw it shouldn't be necessary to cheat on your logs to make a decent living. If that's your only option at that job get out of it ASAP.

    54gmc and Sarabeara Thank this.

i don't mind stretching the logs once in a while, but flat out lies are too easy to catch the driver on. With all the DOT tracking out there, they can catch you on a fuel receipt(or other details) that doesn't match your logs,so fast it will make your head spin. Really limits what you can do before its is blatant that you are cheating.
like I say i don't mind stretching things a bit, but if you NEED to lie, to get a job done, or to keep your job, GET OUT NOW, it won't end well.

Driving a water truck for a directional drilling company mostly on back roads ten hours a day maybe a bit more the odd day. I go for maybe two loads of water a day, drive maybe 50km a day then I sit on site for the most part the rest of the day. So not running hard at all.
