I would't be worried over fuel's things in Montreal, i be more concern of traffic jam, angry people ,random road lanes and pop up pedestrian at every corner etc lol

I got 8 mpg loaded at 78,000 lbs. That was last year. Pete 386 full fairing, box van, 450 hp, 13 speed eaton fuller manual, 3.08 rear end gears, running 65 mph.

Nice! What engine are you running? Emissions junk still on it? I wish the EPA would focus more on making all trucks to run like this instead of EGR's and DPF's and sensors then the world will be a much cooler place...but saving the environment is just a business now.

Lucky for you guys.. if i can pull 6.4 pulling 48,700 is a good day.. flatbeds dont do as well.
Still doing more testing at 60mph. Truck seems to like that speed.
It is really funny after the swift trucks pass you regularly. -
What are your specs?
-
C15 cat, 13 double over, 3.55 rears, on 22.5lp, 600 hp tune but that is going to change as soon as i can afford it. Engine is doggy to me.. 2003
-
ACERT motor? Was it dynoed at 600hp or just claimed? Have you heard of the resistor mod that goes on the fuel temp. sensor? I think its a 150 ohm resistor and it adds about 40 to 60 RWHP and something like .5 MPG increase? But if you find someone with tuning CATs they should be able to do the same or more through programming the ECM so Swift trucks won't have to pass you up
-
I have done that.. the fuel resistor did nothing ... its not a cat tune...
I am looking to going bully dog turbo and tune eventually but i cant do it yet...
Single turbo..tax Thanks this. -
The engine is a 2013 Cummins ISX 15. The emissions junk is still on it. I will have to say I was being very easy on the truck the entire time with very little idling.
We do have one truck at work that is running a set route with a gross weight of 66,000 lbs that is getting 8.4 mpg. It is a KW 680 with a 53 box van with no side fairings. Same engine as what I was running but different trans and rear end ratio which is all I know about that truck.
