I'm trying find a recent driver of werner to explain to me what to expect with Werner. Is it a good enough company to gain my exp. with. Talking to other drivers saying that most all of the big company are the same. Or someone can give there opinion on what's is the worst best company to gain exp.

Werner has only changed for the worst since I started like every other company out there, which explains the high turnover rate. The more drivers at a company the less the miles.Werner us one of the lowest paying starter companies. As an OTR driver you'll do a lot of east coast and only way to get out of the east is when you request hometime.Werner is alright to get the exp but do not exp good pay with the exp you gain because it won't happen.

First edit your profile and put your location in so we can give you better advice. As to what company is the best, that depends on you. As a veteran of a long forgot war, your first company is like basic training. The best way to survive it is to not draw attention to yourself. Keep your mouth shut unless you are asking a question or praising your trainer. Go everywhere they want you to go and do so with a smile on your face and a song in your heart. The first year only last 365 days * unless it is a leap year.
You are not going to make as much money as the recruiter tells you and there are going to be times you hate it. There are also going to be times when you back into a dock and wish the whole world could have seen that. Those are the moments.
Werner isn't a bad company. You will see lots of folks out there that own old Werner trucks. They are everywhere so you will get exposed to different parts of the country. When you are in a truck stop introduce yourself to other drivers. Use your first year to figure out your second company.
All in all, welcome to one of the easiest hard jobs you will ever have.pattyj Thanks this. -
Some things in this industry doesn't change unless its for the worse.Ive been doing this for awhile now.Werners pay hasn't gone up and what they pay teams is a shame 34 cpm split. You as a new driver don't have a choice buy to pick one of these bottom feeder starter companies. But everybody has to start somewhere. So gt that one yr in and go elsewhere.
