Central Refrigerated Truck Stop II

So I have reserves to live off and had a deduction on top of a short mileage week from upgrading my last student. My DM works well with me and she still answers the phone but I can tell they're just as frustrated over there. I think Swift could have been better served adopting a LOT of our practices. Things did flow in a straight line before. I just had some cust tell me I had a "number" on my Qualcomm and I just didn't write it down. Normally I know I didn't miss anything but I went and double checked for peace of mind. Yeah, they jut forgot to give it to me. Quick call to the DM and I was armed with a big ol "told ya so!" But dude went on break so I'm at the TS waiting for my trailer to get loaded. They did preset me for a load in UT on the 9th even though I'm picking up a load that delivers on the 10th and I'm suppose to grab a new student. I sent a 0 saying I don't think I can make that but it will be what it will be. Trucking is frustrating at times but if you love it you love it. This too will pass. If it doesn't they'll lose a lot of good drivers. I'm not losing any sleep over a bumpy couple of weeks. That's just me tho!! Stay safe y'all and don't let the frustration get you down! I have talked with other companies and most of them have lost their ever lovin minds thinkin I'm gonna go work for 32-34 cpm with the "likelihood" of being home at least very 10-14 days for a 34!! Drivers option if you wanna stay out longer and pay your bills tho! Lol

 

I know they're frustrated. When I talked to my dm on the 3rd (3 days in) and asked for a step by step of the macros rather than the ambiguous list he told me to the best of his knowledge and disclaimed by saying "were still figuring it out ourselves." Our fleet was also running behind; I'd imagine we lost a lot of drivers the first few days of the month.

 

Almost forgot - My worst fears were assuaged today. From bits and pieces I heard in the swift training for the dm's as well as a message I got from my DM it was sounding like we wouldn't be getting a new load until our current one is dropped (admittedly, I was reading in to what I heard). I got my pset today a few hours before the 99 (oops, I mean 90), so that is at least one less thing to be worried about.

 

Yeah. I was under the same impression then my dm sent me 3 presets. Thank goodness.

 

Been seeing a couple trailers around with the 5 removed and a c substituted at the beginning. No decal changes though. I don't think it matters what trailers say since they don't have dot numbers on them.

 

You get a message at the two and three hour marks if your load isn't ready quickly! Lol. Thanks for telling me I'm sitting still... I barely noticed after 6 days off!!

 

WTH?! I just had a problem fixed by night shift. Never in almost 2 years has that happened! I am going to sleep cuz I can't deal with this... Lol.

 

Wait. Was it swift or centrals night dispatch? Because I had a swift dispatcher call me and say he was watching my dms fleet last night.
Thata one thing I don't like about the new system is you can't see who is messaging you unless they type their name.

 

First paycheck from swift!! Lol. Does this mean I have to change my Facebook profile and resume to say I work for swift now? I might have to run a dac report soon just to see how it looks on there. Whether or not there's any notations of a company purchase. Or if it just looks like we just switched jobs.

 

First load out and twice I've been asked for company, I said central... Errr swift?... I'm no sure where I work! Lol. They bought us out. So I guess Swift. The scale lady asked if I wanted a swift truck and I told her I spent all morning transforming my truck into a swifty the day before. She gave me the appropriate amount of sympathy, lol!
