What are the big companys pay per mile

Depends on the company.

 

Tyson pays betw $0.39-$0.41 cpm depending on experience and years w company. Add an extra $0.03 cpm for trips < 500 mi and an extra $0.06 cpm for trips < 250 mi. Also, safety bonus is computed quarterly and awarded as extra $0.01 cpm for each quarter subsequent to a qualifying quarter. Example: You make $0.41 cpm. Your previous quarter you had no mishaps - tickets, accidents etc, then you'll earn additional $0.01 cpm for every mile driven in the following quarter. So, it's pretty easy to be at no less than $0.42 cpm for any mile driven.

 

Paychecks? Because of variance in people's exemptions, insurance, 401k, stock purchase yada yada the best way to answer that is annual gross income. I'm happy to share my earnings experience w Tyson in this forum cuz it's my belief that the $ is one of the most important factors and this forum is a great place to get those answers. So, to be clear, this isn't about tooting one's horn... in seven complete years w Tyson I've made as little as $52,500 (first year driver, right out of school, going home for 2-3 nights ev other weekend) and as much as $60,000 (top payscale, going home for 4 nights ev 3rd weekend - that's quite a lot of home time). If ya wanna stay out, not go home too often, then you should be able to earn $70,000+.
