Hello all from a noob still in a 320 hour truck driving school. I have seen several posts about CT but not many too recent about working for them out of Jacksonville, I may have over looked some. I would like to get into flatbeds early and work my way to heavy hauling. I have read CT does a lot of work out of Palatka which is not to far from me. Im curious what current drivers think of the company and the structure of it. I just retired last year from law enforcement and would like to go to a well structured company where I can stay for a while. I have also looked into TMC and Cypress if any current drivers would like to comment on them.

Im scheduled to graduate on March 19th and we should start having recruiters coming to class soon bit I just wanted to get the opinion of current drivers before then. We have been doing some traveling during school so maybe I'll get the opportunity to meet some of you'll at a truck stop or rest area along US1 or 95 in Flagler or Volusia counties.

Thanks for any comments or advise.

    Rob

I believe TMC is running a regional gig out of Jax.

    Not a bad starting point.

horror that was one of the threads that I have read but noticed that the trainer was out of SC so I was just wondering if the local drivers are happy there. I have read that certain areas of some companies are better to work for then others.Good luck with what ever company you choose, I'm personally kind of set on CT due to the amount of work I have read out of palatka, which is pretty close to where I live.

Rinaudo Enterprise in Jacksonville hires new CDL grads and has heavy haul, oversize, over demensional & regular flatbed.

If we knew where you lived, it would help.

Quite a few flatbed outfits within 100 miles of Palatka.

Yup, I would check Rinaudo out, they hire recent grads and train you for heavy haul, you will be using rgn, drop decks, etc out the gate and be making way more than any other big name company around. I applied last year when I graduated but they said because I live in Orlando they wouldn't hire me =( Nice trucks too, new KW's with 13 speeds governed at 70 if I remember correctly.
