Anyone Work For Millis?

Man I really considered Millis........I fill an application out almost two weeks ago i haven't heard back.....

I have a few questions about Millis, I live very close to the Millis terminal in Weedsport NY. I have 4yrs as a driver mostly regional NE line haul..1st Question is there someone at the terminal who has hiring athority an or answer all my questions concerning a job with them. 2nd question does any one know if they have short runs which return to the terminal every other day or at least once per week during the week and weekends (short haul) for new hires 3rd question do they run in canada thanks in advance

 

All hiring is done out of the main office in Black River Falls, WI, you should be able to get your questions answered at weedsport.

Right now, Millis does not have any short haul in the North East. You should have no problem getting TAH living in the weedsport area.

Millis does not run in Canada.

Man, there are 3 people on the other site that had problems!?

That doesn't seem like much of a majority. 3 people!?

Now if there were 25-30 people, that would be call for alarm. IMHO

Its not highway robbery , go to a adult trade school and get training and a CDL... 2500.00 and no guarentee of a job.

and the 1 year stipulation has been around for a bit. why should they train , give you road time and you book ??
All kinds of Companies are doing it. Infact If you want to become a NYS Paramedic, someone has to sponser you, you sign a contract stating YOU WILL BE WITH THAT DEPARTMENT for 4 to 5 years OR pay back $5000.00 .
At least Millis gives good students a chance to get their 1 year experience and pays them then they can leave or stay.

There are other truck companies out there, not as good and may not produce good drivers if they have a training school.
