Do all companies have the same threshold for A1C numbers?
Was DQ'd for .3 over the limit.
Numbers have been 120-140 for the last 2 weeks after having meds adjusted.
Type 2. Should I just not say anything?
Last 2 physicals I took (one for fedmed card thru Concentra, the other through a company i won't mention) and zero sugar showed up in my urine sample.
Any help or advice, and not diabetic advice.

A1C # take some time to go down, try going to a diff. concentra med.
-
your A!C measures over a 90 day or so period, if you had meds adjusted 2 weeks ago that wouldn't help an A1C score which read as a single number , deciamla then a number, with your numbers at 120 to 140 , 3 months from now your a1c might be good to go

Maybe I should have reworded the question. Do any companies not check an A1C number during physical?
baha Thanks this. -
yes you picked one of the conc. med. ones try taking your current med. card with you , or get a new med. and take it with you next time, what type trailer are you trying to get on pulling now?

My card is 2 weeks old. Got a one year deal.
I have offers from Prime and FFE and wondering if I'm wasting my time. My last a1c number was 10.2
The company I was dq'd for, their limit was 9.9
Wondering of either of the companies I listed just do a prick test or a1c.

with an A1C that high, what meds are you taking? my Dad has a class C CDL because of his work he used to do, his A1C is over 10, with insulin dependent, even before taking the insulin they yanked his med and CDL because his numbers were too high. Mine is 6.5, with only taking Metformin, my employer doesn't care, but my MD does, if my A1C goes over 8.5 he'll suspend my med. card himself.

Who takes an a1c test for a DOT physical?
Is this new?
I've never been asked about it -
Just switched to twice daily 1000mg Metformin. Was a rough few months of drinking.
-
Was a company physical that asked for A1C test.
