Terror trucker training a waste

Maybe this is the first sign that we are waking up to this foolishness.
This "training" was one of the biggest wastes of my time I've ever been subjected to.

Sure, Mick; It's an hour long film narrated by that hare-lipped prez of the ATA.(I willingly forgot his name) It's all about how to spot suspicious individuals (the ones w/turbans) hanging around oil depots, warehouse districts, and rest area toilets. The message was that truckers are in a unique position to spot suspicious activity (as if we'd give a ####). The instructor stopped the film 'bout every ten minutes or so- we had to answer a question in the test (yes, they test on this BS) before they proceeded with this brilliant waste of resources. At the end of the program we were presented with a certificate of completion and a keen little wallet card, which I immediately trashed because I was so offended at having my time wasted in such a brainless manner.

I had that waste of time film also. Like, the police would even respond to a possible sighting.

Now really..who needs from the jokers of this crew making this crap his head examined ??? I´m more than willing to crack his head open with one punch....

Hell if someones paying for that I have wadloads of ideas to pull a fast buck overthere...

Back in 2004 I spotted two Middle Eastern guys taking pictures of the East L. A. interchange. I just had a gut feeling so I called 911. When the operator came on the line I explained what I saw. She transfered me over to the CHP where they took my information down and then proceeded to tell me that they were Cal-Trans workers. I explained that I have worked for Cal-Trans before and those guys weren't Cal-Trans. The CHP said "How do you know?" I said for one thing, they didn't have any safety equipment on like hardhats or a safety vest. The CHP acted like I was full of &**&^ and said that I should be more careful in my observations and that when people rush to judgment because someone is a minority (they being middle easterners) matters could get "out of hand".

9-11 happened because of Politically Correct *&^%$%^%^&^%$%^ like that

 

Panicky insecure people should stop and count to ten before bothering 9-1-1 operators with a non emergency. They're busy enough with genuine emergency calls and if you waste their time with nonsense like this they may not be able to initiate response in time and someone could die. As a professional you should know this.
Plenty of Cal-Trans workers perform sans hardhats and vests; they're not supposed to but they do anyway. Nine times out of ten your gut feeling is going to be wrong. Be more observant and don't waste people's time.
Why in the world would you assert that 911 happened because of "political correctness"? Perhaps you should take the time to study up on the causes and effects of these acts of terrorism before you have further occasion to show profound lack of understanding.

Haven't you heard that we are supposed to be pro-active in the War on Terror???
What do you know about Cal-Trans anyways???? Every time I had a job walk on a Cal-Trans job, even the engineers wore protective gear. It's a requirement by OSHA and Cal-Trans does follow the OSHA regs to the 'T'. What if those "engineers" were scouting out the interchange to bomb it????? I would have felt partly responsible if that happened and I had the opportunity to call it in but I chose to play politically correct.
Waste of time my ###!!!! Put it this way, if you're on an airliner with a sweaty nervous middle eastern guy and you're nearing a major metro area wouldn't you be a little curious??? Wouldn't you be a little cautious??? Last time I checked, most terrorists do not fit the profile of a blond haired blue eyed surfer type from Sunset Beach. Those "engineers" sure fit the profile that El Al uses when they profile perspective passengers.

Reagan used to "Trust but verify" but in this day an age, we can't trust those who have oft repeated that will either "Kill us or Convert us"!
