We need to save more fuel so we can sell it to China.

If they wanted us to save fuel, they'd make "Truck Only" lanes through cities so the trucks wouldn't have to start and stop in traffic, that's what burns the most fuel.

And you can thank the EPA for our poor fuel milage. If they'd let us run the fuel we should be running and take all the emissions junk off of the trucks, we'd be getting better milage.

On a side note, if it wasn't for the EPA, we could have a diesel Ford Festiva that Europe has that gets 75 mpg.

What seems to be missed in all the prior comments is........the government has no business telling you, me or anyone else what kind of fuel mileage your truck gets. Where is the outrage??????????? Some of the trucks of today do get better fuel mileage but the EPA mandated engines don't work. In most cases the newer trucks get no better fuel mileage than trucks of 10 years ago and, they're loaded with emissions bull crap that doesn't work. I've been towed twice since September in two different new trucks due to emissions malfunctions on the engine. Stop buying this crap the truck manufactures put out and let the market work for itself.

Hey y'all, don't forget, if fuel use gets cut in half, that means revenue based on fuel usage tax gets cut in half. That means fuel taxes will have to be increased to make up for the lack of fuel not being consumed. Let's face it, no matter what we as a society do, the Government has the fiscal knowledge and responsibility of a crackhead. if we could make trucks get fifteen miles a gallon, they will raise the taxes to offset the revenue generated off of five miles a gallon. Just my thought on the subject.

A darn good start (in my case Texas) is to FIRE John Cornyn, Kevin Brady and a couple more RINOS. Many other states have a chance.

If we take the House and the Senate away it CAN'T POSSIBLY HURT!

Just go on YouTube and search the WAVE concept truck Walmart came up with. If that's what's coming, I'm hanging up my keys

YOUR truck gets great mileage while being towed due to emmissions failures. Hehehe

That's absolutely correct! Some states have already tried to mandate a mileage tax on hybrid cars like Priuses and other autos that get good fuel mileage. It will be yet another tax thrown at the trucking industry.

O'Bummer is going out of his way to make us a third world country.
There was a chance to NOT raise the debt limit. But the Rinos stabbed Cruze in the back yet again.
