I have a CM870 565 in a 379. Keeps throwing a code 155 which I believe is for high intake temp. I've tried different sensor in the intake manifold and the turbo inlet.no improvement. Engine runs fine until the code comes up. Makes 39lbs manifold pressure, mo cac leeks either.it does have a PDI intake manifold. Does it with the egr connected and blocked. Any suggestions? It doesn't pop up all the time. It may go all day, or just a few miles. I even tried just placing the sensor outside of the intake track (in lower temp air) and the code still popped up.
    Aappreciated thanksappreciated thanks

Intermittent short in the wiring. No way you should be seeing that code with no EGR dumping 570 degree exhaust into your intake. Without EGR connected I don't think you could trigger that code if you eliminated the CAC and ran a pipe directly from the turbo to the intake.

The code says high temp, will a short cause this code or would it say voltage low or high. I don't know if it on the turbo inlet or the intake manifold. I'll tear the harness apart and see what I can find
    thanks

Depends on the way the sensor is wired and the fault tree programming. Most two wire sensors will read zero or max if the ground side is sorted directly to ground, or the wires are shorted together. For that matter a broken wire or plug could be losing contact intermittently. Finding out how it reacts to these conditions is part of troubleshooting. Thats why electrical t/s can get stupid expensive on the labor side for even the easy to fix issues.
