GBNF, nice to see someone stand for "doing the right thing". Lies only lead to trouble, it is better to be honest and find a way to make it work. Being a new driver is difficult enough without 2 dogs and a friend along to distract you. Just my never to be humble opinion.
Wanting to start somewhere but having a main problem?

I think I read that US Express allows more than one pet and seem to be a pretty descent company.
-
Try this website....http://www.bigrigdogs.com
It is created for truckers with dogs.
Drive safe! -
Whenever you are in the company yard just duct tape the dogs together and tell everyone you have only conjoined Pomeranians in the world (worth a lot of money), don't forget to add that last part.
MPH2, Shaggy, road_runner and 1 other person Thank this. -

Thanks for the info everybody Lol tried to send a private message to someone said i would have to have
7 or more post to do that and could only send to certain people so thanks to the ppl that have sent me
private message! I've decided to do it right, don't need to get fired from the first job Lol maybe rather
sooner than later i can get local. May have to hire a babysitter for them#Sad #DogLover but i
do love to drive and would love to see different places, being a Mississippi girl, haven't been to many big
cities, always wanted to see NYC! -
I looked it up US Express only 1 pet also and i will try the bigrigdogs site, Thanks! I am paying my friend to ride with me
cause she has nothing else to do while waiting for her disability so she could help babysit the dogs instead of just sitting
there making money haha... My dogs are good and they listen to me so they will learn to lay down when i tell them to
if they are riding on the truck.dennisroc Thanks this. -
Two people and two dogs in a OTR truck with no experience and you want to go to NYC?
Please research and consider your options carefully. The odds are long that that will work out well. Not impossible, but long. OTR is a hard lifestyle.
Please consider that an OTR tractor has 12-15 sq/ft of floor space, without a bathroom.
Shippers, recievers, DOT, local LEOs, other truckers, and 4 wheelers are gonna give you a hard time.
Stress/time/money/risk/fuel/sleep/food management are just the begining of the things you will have to do.
And there's actually driving a 80,000lb 70' vehicle.
Please consider your options.................... -
You asked in the wrong sub forum ( LTL ). Never done training or have a CDL. Worry about making a livable wage in this trucking thing. PETS GTFOLast edited: Feb 23, 2014
