Ok, so I'm new, to trucking, trucks...the whole deal....I'm driving for Maverick, I'm happy, except it seems like our trucks are junk!!!! I've had a 12 and now a 13 and a week does not go by that some Fault code (transmission, cooling system, batteries), or some build quality detail (had a MAJOR water leak FROM THE ROOF, wipers that don't work, doors that don't close properly...) sidelines me. This seems to be a general problem fleetwide, SO, my question:

Is this the norm for all truck makes? I mean a six figure piece of equipment with this build quality and reliability????? or, are there better brands out there (Peterbuilt, Kenworth, International, Mack, Volvo etc....)

I ask, because I plan on buying my own truck in the future, it will be used, and I had figured Freightliner, with it's parts availability and less expensive maintenance costs, would be the choice, now, I'm not so sure.....

They all break without fail is one thing all trucks have in common. The question you asked has been debated till the end of time, in truth nothing is made with the quality and American pride of yesteryear. It matters most how its been taken care of since day one than anything in my opinion.

Drivers abuse company trucks. Especially rookies, sometimes not on purpose. Maverick is a training company.

The best cabs are built like airplanes. With rivets and aluminum.

Ditto on above however cascadias are excellent in fuel mileage. You have a lemon as as other probs. They arent pretty but they are extremely dependable.

With fleet trucks, don't always think they are the best. Most aren't. If you want a lot of room go with a 780 :)

Yes, the 780 is known for its excellent reliability, parts availability, cheap replacement parts and excellent dealer repair speed...
