I am having a little trouble finding a location to drop my empty trailer when I have my hometime (1.5-2 days a week). I can fit the tractor in my driveway but not the trailer. I have reached out to a few shopping centers (I am assuming I need permission?) near me and have not had any responses. Should I be asking the stores in these shopping centers? The management company? The Owner? I am trying to do it thru email so I have something on paper to keep (in case someone questions it) in the truck. I see trucks and sometimes trailers parked in these lots for a day or 2 so I am guessing they allow it. Are these drivers just doing it and taking a chance at being towed or do you think they have permission? I don't really want to chance leaving it somewhere without permission from somebody who has the authority to authorize it

I am in southern NH literally on the Haverhill, MA line so am looking for a place within 15-20 miles of that area

If I have a trailer witn me on my home time.. I went into a groceries store that has a lot of parking, I went in a spoke to the manager, and got permission to park my trailer in tne lower lot with the understanding that they are not responsible for it if it gets broken into or such, and that it would only be there for a couple of days..

I think it is better to go in a talk to them in person and in advance.. dont pull up in the truck with the trailer.. show them that you are courteous.. also, that you live in the neighborhood...

When I do park there, I go in and tell them.. make sure they have my number in case they need to call me to move the truck..

If I am loaded however... then I have made arrangements with a storage place that is fenced and locked.. I pay per night...

I actually live close to a terminal.. but, dont always want to go to the terminal...

I have to leave my companies trailer at the terminal. But there is a Raley's near my house and they seem to have a few trucks around. Id try contacting the GM at nearby businesses.

I imagine finding parking there is slim pickens isn't it?Well like post#2 says physically go in the store and talk to the manager then get proof that you are allowed to park there.Or talk to your company, maybe they have a customer that'll let you drop the trl.Maybe your company has ties with another compny that may let you drop the trl in their drop yard.

Yes that is the best way to go to a place and talk to the manager.

I noticed everyone always threatens to tow it but never do. They always call your company first. Just keep moving it until someone doesn't complain. I had a perfect spot for the past two years, an abandoned grocery store in a nice area that has nobody around. Recently a new business is moving and and left a tow warning on my trailer. So I too am trying to find a new spot. Was contacted my dispatch to move it twice. I think I found a spot that is OK since I left it for five days without a problem, but it is hard to get into as there are a lot of four wheelers around in a tight one lane entrance.

I never do that since they just say no since most people do not care about anyone other than themselves and their family. Plus most people are too lazy to even complain about your trailer being there so I try to park as far as possible and out of the way so they won't take the time to even say anything. If you just walk up to them and ask they will say no and go back to drinking their starbucks since you are just a trucker, in their eyes a worthless piece of cattle.

Leave the trailer in a shopping center parking lot and put a big sign on it that says, Drop off your donations for The Spanish Speaking Black Muslim Gay Lesbian Transgender Conservative Republicans of Hollywood. No one will bother it.

If a gay black spanish speaking conservative transgender muslim from Hollywood makes a donation then you will have to pay extra for a trailer washout.
