Google them Been in business since the 1940's - early 50's.

Thanks for the reply Prairie Boy. I have and I have spoken with them. I was hoping to some first-hand reviews from driver's that do or have worked for them. They sound like a very good company to work for.

From Ontario out they are excellent to work for. They don't have any good steady work in the east so it is pretty hard to make ends meet working for them here. Benefits and pension is excellent.

My old man hauled liquid slurry(from the nickel mines around Sudbury) in b train tankers for 12-13 years for Trimac before they lost the contract and shut the doors down in town here. He always had good things to say about the job and company and everyone involved.

When I was reading the question I thought about you making a reply.
As mentioned they were in town for some time, had a full terminal setup with big shop. Closed the shop then shortly after lost the contract for slurry. Odd time you will see a Trimac truck coming to town heading to a local Superior Propane location but haven't spoked to any of the drivers.Macneil and Swamprat55 Thank this. -
If Trimac looses a contract they don't usually hang around. Usually the doors are locked and equipment on the way out of town 5 mins after the contract ends.

I've been into the Propane hauling this winter for the first time. Kind of enjoy it but the work is going to slow down very soon. They are trying to talk me into moving to Sarnia where there isnt much to do here in the east but I don't know. Thinking about going farther west.

Had a guy that rented shop space from me to park his tractor.
He went on with Trimac when he was 31 years old. He sold the truck and retired the day he turned 65. Says that Trimac paid him enough to put his 3 kids thru university. And they even had scholarships for employees kids.
Paul's Hauling in Winnipeg does the same.
Paul used to own Westcan.

I believe it. They may not pay as high as some of the other companies but their benefits and pensions are way better.
Like I say, if they had good year around work here where I am I would finish out my career here with them but they don't so I am looking at moving to another area but I probably will stay with Trimac in whatever new area I move to.
