as for what you say, tiny tim , i wish this story was embelished i know it does sound crazy and off the hook and unbelievable , i would still be in the truck right now if not for that . i want to drive and spent lots of money out of my own pocket to do so. i wouldnt have left for any other reason. the expenses that i paid and time i put into it was wasted, so no this is not embelished. you have the right to your opinion and can believe what you want. i wanted this job more than anything but im not risking my life of someone elses to make a dollar either. i tried to do this safely and he wouldnt have it. i was a long way from home and i sure would not have got out and had to hitch my way back for any other reason. like i said you can believe what you want, it dont matter to me. and as far as being a hot head, i dont think so. i went through this crap and was pushed twice before i went off. so not a hothead just dont like to be bullied and pushed around.
im back again. need advice .

Well, if the guy truly wanted you to run traffic lights and run 63 in a 45 he has no business driving anything. I don't buy it though.
Good luck.bubbaray30 Thanks this. -
tiny tim, i know it sounds ridiculous and i have to say that i would have trouble believing it too. if i hadnt experienced it i probably wouldnt have believed it either, thinking about it, i do see where you are coming from. no hard feelins or ruffled feathers intended. i still am having trouble believing it myself and wishing it wasnt true.

My apologies, I think I might of made too many assumptions.
You stress safety first which is what we need more of. Losing your cool and hitting someone while in the drivers seat set off some flags but if it's how you say it is understandable.
Stick to safety first, keep your cool under pressure and you'll do good.Tonythetruckerdude, pattyj and bubbaray30 Thank this. -
tiny tim , dont worry about that, you have the right to your opinion no matter what it is. i hope to get back out there with someone that understands. i have experienced that knock on the door by a police officer. twice i was woke up in the middle of the night by that knock to tell me that my family member was in a wreck and didnt survive. i dont want to be responsible for putting somone else through that. thats why i want to try to be safe. i know how it feels and you never get over it. and as far as mentality, i agree that im about as bright as a burned out lightbulb but i will always put safety first.

Don't worry about it Driver. Cut your losses. Find a better company. If they won't return or take your calls as a trainee I can't imagine they'd take your calls as an employed driver. You'll find something. Driving jobs are a dime a dozen.
Only thing I don't agree with is punching the trainer.......once. I would have curb stomped his ###. I freaking hate bullies!rda2580, newbietrucker007, pattyj and 5 others Thank this. -
I went through 3 crappie trainers till I finallt got with a good one... obviously you can not change what has already happened, but, you can learn from it.... when you apply at other companies.. if it comes up.. be sure to explain it in a manner that showes them you learned from it... that will call the comapny if things are not going well, you will call the comapny if being asked to be unsafe or illegal, and that you will walk away before hitting and such...

i have definately learned from this mistake. im gonna be going out again with western. i talked to the assigner and that trainer has a lot more than just me complaining on him . i cant believe that after all of that, they still are putting me back on the road. are they that desperate? i dont care i still need a job and if they are willing to give me another shot after all of that, me hitting the trainer and all, then i guess i will try it again. hope to get with a better trainer who looks at safety and not dollar signs. if they are willing to give me a second chance, then i owe it to them and myself to try again. im still having trouble believing all of this . what kind of mess am i getting into now i wonder. oh well if at first you dont succeed and are given a second chance, try try again. i still cant believe that they want me to come back after all of that. they may not be that bad of a company after all who knows? the trainer assigner seemed very understanding of the situation. sorry , but im still very shocked and dont know how to feel or what to make of all of this.
