What kind of info do you get back when u send that stuff in to get analyzed? What is it good for?

 

fuel dilution, coolant contamination, metals... You can find out about a problem long before it's a huge problem

 

I havent changed my oil in a year... So I also need it to see how servicable my oil is

 

Thanks for the info, but a year? Isn't that a long time without an oil change?

 

I know people with 300k+ on oil... I run a bypass filter to clean it... And sample every 25k

 

Oh ok I guess that bypass filter would be a pretty good investment I take it?

 

I'm happy with it... I have an Cummins isx, they are dirty engines... Most people recommend no more then 100k... Series 60 Detroits can go forever on the same oil... I run rotella t6 oil.. but I'm thinking about switching to t5, it's cheaper and protects the same...

 

Oh ok, yea I have the 60 Series, I don't kno when the last pm was done on it so I figure I get one done to get back on schedule from when I got the truck. I got it with 708k its at about 719k now.
