....pulled up to a stop light or turn lane

and while waiting you notice somethings seems to be moving ,

Then suddenly you realize its you ,

    you're rolling backwards !

    :biggrin_25515:

    This happened today ,

Thankfully no one was behind me but the possibilities of what could have happened scared the crap out of me .

No, I never. But I have had a truck beside me creep forward, and give me the sensation that I was rolling back.

(That's my story an I'm stickin' to it!):biggrin_2559:

What BigDon said, I foot was on brake pedal, thought I was moving, pushed brake pedal to floor, then realized I was not moving, everyone around me was!

I remember onetime I was at a QT truck stop,I get out and walk to the trkstop and see my trk rolling back, thank god for a driver walking to his trk,he ran over and set my brk otherwise I would have either hit another trk or it would have rolled into the street.

I have been asleep in the bunk and had another truck go by and shake my truck causing me to wake up grabbing for a steering wheel and applying brakes all while behind the cab curtain and from a dead sleep-

I know this is off topic but I was heading down rt 58 west in Virginia when I had to take a couple looks. It was a USA truck pulling a walmart trailer . Anyone know if this was just a one time thing or is walmart now contracting out to USA ? Would make sense being as PAM Transport which is like, USA does walmart too

Well doesn't get much lower the those two companies. I started with USA and they got me my start and schooling. They've come along way since a year ago when I left for Smith Transport

Big Don said: No, I never. But I have had a truck beside me creep forward, and give me the sensation that I was rolling back.

I've had that sort of vertigo thing happen to me at fuel islands and left turn lanes. It told me I was paying too much attention to things other than my driving. Stomped down on the brake pedal hard each time even though I wasn't even moving. Laughed at myself and vowed to pay attention to the #1 priority-driving safe.
Stay safe out there drivers, remember someone loves you. Don't ask me why......
