    Made it to Denver with 12 whole minutes left on my 70!!!!!!!! Thank God I could drive as fast as I wanted. 70-75 the whole way.
    Close one. But the d/h is done and I am bobtailed at the ts. Taking a 34 till sun morning.
    Probably do some line 5 driving tmrw. Want to hit up Home Depot and maybe catch a movie. Gonna work on my APU, install my sat radio, and do some laundry.
    Finished my first seven days as an I/C bringing in $5100 in revenue to the truck. Spent $2400 in fuel and still have 3/4 of a tank left. After Schneider takes out insurance and stuff (no truck payment yet) I should do alright. Hard to give exact numbers cause it's split between two pay periods and I still got two days left to run on this pay period. I'll put up some settlements a bit later.

    Well, OK day off. Got all the stuff I needed to install my sat radio and phone. Saw two movies, RoboCop and Non-stop. Both were good, Non-stop was better.
    And then there is the bad. My truck started throwing out fault codes and the check engine light came on. According to the internet it is the def air pressure sensor. Had to bring it back south 45 minutes to Denver to the Freightliner dealer. And they tell me they might get to it on Monday, but probably not till Tuesday. So I sit and wait.

    Welcome to my weekend, sadwar. It's been rough. At least in Denver I'd know where to go to pass the time...here, not so much. I agree with 91B20H8, hope it's warranty, or at least part of the 50/50 with Schneider.

    When I picked Brat up from the dealership yesterday, they said they'd gotten me out quickly - and she was there for 48 hours, give or take. I guess they made up for it by not changing all the injectors the first time around, because she's back for another 48, at least. I felt bad for the couple of drivers who came in after me today - they don't take in 'new' trucks on Saturdays. I was just lucky, I guess...either that, or they felt bad about not fixing it completely the first time. :)

    Pizza Hut wings for dinner, going to explore the pool in this hotel as soon as I finish eating. Have as good a weekend as you can :)

    Sucks to be down, but timing overall sounds good because it sounds like you weren't under a load. I don't care what anyone says, no matter what engine, what make truck, what year it is and how well it is maintained it is, s*** happens, stuff breaks, just gotta deal with it get it fixed and get back on the road! Hopefully they get you taken care of quickly and you can hit the road again. Looks like you're doing good, here's to continued success on Choice!

    Got my truck back from the shop today, all ready to roll, I'll be headed out on Tuesday, bouncing around NC/SC/VA to get me moving, then blasting down to GA as always.

    How did you drive to the shop if you were out of hours...?

    I'm not sure truck maintenance is allowed on line 5 ?

    I drove around town and down here on line 5. Since I am not under dispatch and bobtailing is allowed. And I will stay off duty until my truck is fixed. I just completed my 34 hr reset. Why would I be on duty? I'm not doing any work.

    Good to Go I see;
    I was a company driver for Schneider for a little over 3.5 years, I transitioned to an IC about 3 yrs ago and have been running the Choice board for 2.5 years. You may have discovered already that it's crumb freight we are getting but better than the Mileage based package they offer.
    Nevertheless, I do OK, I can average around 4k to 4.5k gross per week.
    I chose to go with a purchase program and got SFI to pick u a truck for me at the Denton Peterbilt FAC, New. Great Truck already put 350k on it, though I am broke down in Texarkana right now, it has given me hardly no problems, My DPF sensor went out and derated my truck can't get the part until mon. morning.
    Anyway, if you want to talk let me know and we can sent an exchange on our emails, good luck, keep the freight lane...

    trucker43 and sadwar Thank this.
