Winter cover issues please help

    Ok, WHAT?? you get air into the intake from your air cleaners and turbo, Your cac gets air to cool down that intake air from your grill, your grill air has nothing to do with air to air intake.

    Don't forget some of the newer egr motors don't require a winter front on them.

    Unless it is below -25C or -15F I would NOT cover the engine at all while going down the road. You could cover it while parked.

    Its an 04. And im running with the 10k mod. I do burn alot more fuel in cold weather...but nothing to lose my shirt over so maybe ill just leave it be

    I get plenty of heat at idle dont need the cover in that case. It does get below that temp these days plus the wind factor.

    we all burn more fuel in the winter. it's becuase of the winter blend. (thicker fuel).

    as for covering when parked. WHY??? truck isn't going anywhere, anyways. unless the wind is blowing right through the radiator. it's got no air flow. the truck is parked. and if the wind is coming from the side. isn't anything you can do about that one.

    True on the winter blend. But on warmer days i burn a good half mpg less

    I haven't run a winter front since '06, these things are totally different than they used to be.

    Im rolling now...-10 c. Head wind...my guage is at 150. Dont seem right
