Wow yea , I bet people are just looking for a pay day . Lol

    You just never know ..
I run elogs and i'd rather eat up a minute then hit someone , or worse run someone over .
I mean I could see if you had a good reason , like tour on fire and need to get to water to put tour self out , but that's about the only thing . Lol

Maybe they did not want to miss watching a rerun of "Law & Order" for the 100th time. Had to hurry up and get in to the driver lounge.

It is crazy how some drivers speedd through the truck stops.. especially in the evening wwhen it is full and trucks are making spots where they can.. or think is okay.. the other day I watched a truck make a spot at the end of a row next to a truck that had made a spot.. then a truck makes a spot along the curb.. wasnt long after that a truck comes speeding through and his trailer catches the corner of the trailer that made a spot at the end of the row... and just keeps going.. didn't stop at all.. by the time the driver whose trailer got hit got dressed and out of his truck the truck that hit him was gone..

Really gave me pause.. because I was just getting my shoes on to go in side.. and that is the path I would of walked.. I have a bright orange hat and orange hoodie that I wear to be more visible... I see drivers wearing all dark clothes walking througn the lot.. and I think.. have they not seen how drivers drive through here or do they want to be hard to see...

Welcome to the wonderful EOBR world, they have to use every second of their day.

I don't trust drivers, I make sure I see them, because about 1/2 aren't looking anyway.

Don't blame the EOBR. I run with an EOBR and like to take it nice and slow out of the parking lot all the way to the freeway entrance. That way it stays in Off Duty and only engages into Driving when I shift into high range on the on ramp.

Worst case of truck stop driving I ever witnessed was definitely not on an EOBR. A beat up old bull hauler came through the parking lot, catching gears the whole way, then smoked the trailer tandems coming to a stop before lighting out into traffic.

Stay in low range. Better yet, never engage a gear that will get you over 8 mph. Lots of truck stop parking lots are so beat up they are acres of speed bumps anyway.

Lepton1.. that is me too.. we have qualcomm... and if I take it slow and easy through the truck stop or the shippers and recievers it will stay on "off Duty".. I make more time doing that than I would gain speeding through them.. most times I make it all the way out of the truck stop and down the road before it changes to "Driving"

Yeah I agree. I'm on elog too but at the same time I've been behind plenty of truckers only running idle speed to the fuel island. By the time they poke along they've got 6 or 7 people behind them trying to get around. Then that's where the nascar truckstop drivers come in to play.
