You will get a drug test and you will also get a new DOT physical (unless you're from California).
You will then get a pretty standard physical agility test: heart rate within age norms after step-climbing, picking up & carrying a crate loaded with like 30 or 50 lbs, pulling & pushing with 80 or 100 lbs of force, being able to climb onto a simulated trailer platform maintaining 3 points of contact at all times, & "duck walking" under that same simulated trailer platform.jungledrums Thanks this. -
Thanks a lot.... I can handle that easily.... I'm not a 100lb shoulder hieght lift x 30 type if guy...
DuesyJ29 Thanks this. -
So they do a new DOT physical on you, even if you already have a valid one and have been running a truck for 9 months?

I worked for Con-way for 12 years +.I took my physical at any walk in.Eye test,BP test, urine(drugs, alcohol)not much else.Conway may have internal policy about lifting but it is not part of FMCSA protocol.See medical at FMCSA.gov.Also, not all companys, but most will have you do new physical regardless of when your card expires.
