Hey Nelsonyankee, as you said I don't know what you're looking for but I am an O/O that is currently contracted with Forward Air out of Ohio. I reside in the Baltimore, Md area ad I am looking for a driver to team with. I don't know the full extent of your experience but we haul air freight in a dry van trailer which means a lot of light loads and/or drop and hooks. I just spoke with our recruiters to see if they may help with placing a driver and they pointed me to trucker site forums and your msg was the first one I came across. I do have a plan and running team trucks will set that plan in motion a little faster. Anyway, I can give you all the details if you're interested. NC is not too far from MD so home time shouldn't be a problem. Didn't mean to talk your ear off but hope to hear from you either way. Thanks.

Looks like you found a needle good luck. Mods frown on posting phone numbers publicly you might want to take that over to private messaging.

Wow, experience in them all and only been driving 2 years. Takes at least 6 months to say you have "experience" in any industry of trucking. So, he's hauled Flatbed, reefer, heavey haul, oversize, van, hopper bottom, tanker etc all in 2 years.

I never said I had a lot of experience just am understanding and have hauled all kinds of loads. I worked on a farm for a year. We hauled flatbed loads, I also have sold machinery for 10 years and have strapped down all different kinds of things on a flatbed. On the farm we also hauled tanker for our chemicals that go in the field. I obviously hauled hopper bottom trailer and dump trailers with them as well. I also hauled a live walking floor trailer to deliver chicken litter. I also went out with a trainer when got my CDL and hauled reefer and van trailer. I have hauled logs. I am currently a bull hauler hauling cattle and just did a load of goats. On the farm I also had to haul an oversize excavator on a lowboy trailer. I am not your typical out of the school newbie and don't have a clue about the industry or not know how to load machinery or a trailer so it won't fall off or be overweight on the axles.

I said I have experience in them all. Not a lot of experience like I know all all there is to know but a good basic understanding of each of the industries.

Man for every 5 people that have good intentions and are helpful there is 1 person to try to cut you down. Is that really needed? Does that make you sleep better at night?

richter, that's not what the guy said at all. he plainly said he had some experience , but not a lot in all.

how is that any different from your comments on everything under the sun?? I think its a bit harsh to comment on the guy in that manner. if a guy has pulled a reefer once, he has some experience with a refer and so on. and if he pulled hoppers for a farm outfit he probably ended up pulling a tractor or equipment somewhere for that outfit also.

he simply stated he had a good basic understanding of different aspects. to me he is saying he has enough common sense and ability to figure things out quickly. common sense is lacking these days.

I would much rather see him post what he did than someone with a list a mile long of what he will or wont do and where he will or wont go.

nelson, I understood perfectly what you said and what you meant by your post. I have done this for 33 years and have hired several drivers over the years. if I had to make a decision on hiring by only reading posts on here, guess who I would hire??

don't let richter get to you . he types before he thinks if it would appear

This is pretty tame stuff. If you really want to stir the pot tell everyone how you've been dreaming of lease purchasing with swift. Or mention that a kenworth you once drove had a "condo" sleeper on it. :biggrin_25523: You know it gets boring sometimes sitting in the cab of a truck so drivers just kill time and they will argue about anything anytime. :biggrin_25523:

Rollin coal this probably isn't the time I should let everyone know I went to CR England truck driving school then is it. Lmao. PS I am driving a Kenworth W900L I am 6'3 and can stand in the back and lift my drink mug all the way up to get the last sip without coming close to the ceiling. I think I just started trucker forum driver war 3 haha.
