Attitudes like this are a great reason for owning one's job. Some people you just can't reach; they only listen and try to understand when they feel their own pain -- whether physical or financial.
K&B clearly violated the law. All Abe needs to do is file a complaint with OSHA. After K&B starts cutting his miles and flip flopping his schedule everyday to punish Abe in retaliation, that's when his real payday will come, and he can go buy his own trucking company.
That's why we have government and courts and fistfights. Some people are slow learners, stubborn, apathetic, or just have no care for their fellow man's concerns. These types of people will need a regular application of force to set them on a just course. And it makes me smile when they get it.truckerdave1970 and pattyj Thank this. -

A lot of doubters but that's alright Abe has way more supporters then non supporters. He'll be the one that comes out smelling like a rose at the end.

392.3Ill or fatigued operator. No driver shall operate a commercial motor vehicle, and a motor carrier shall not require or permit a driver to operate a commercial motor vehicle, while the driver's ability or alertness is so impaired, or so likely to become impaired, through fatigue, illness, or any other cause, as to make it unsafe for him/her to begin or continue to operate the commercial motor vehicle. However, in a case of grave emergency where the hazard to occupants of the commercial motor vehicle or other users of the highway would be increased by compliance with this section, the driver may continue to operate the commercial motor vehicle to the nearest place at which that hazard is removed.drvrtech77, rockyroad74 and xlsdraw Thank this.

I don't require him being forced, in fact he didn't do it, but I do remember some veterans trying to help him understand ways of breaking the boredom, and him refusing to try.Dinomite Thanks this.

Go watch the video again and fast forward to about the 6:15 mark where the dispatcher tells him to get some coffee and walk around the truck. Abe states that he'd already tried that. Whether he actually did or didn't, we don't know, but there are a lot of blind assumptions being made, both in this thread and the one that was closed in the Bad Trucking Companies forum.

Somebody should call Dennys and make sure there are extra chairs at the counter for the celebration! ! And make sure the WiFi is up to speed cause something tells me there will be a lot of YouTube drivers there! (And they will all have less then a year's experience, since it seems newbies educational videos are the gospel now)

Oh boy. Another thread dedicated to the lazy trucker known as Abe.
