Who cares about resale value when operating cost over even 10 years will trump a few thousand dollars better resale value....WOW! What a poor business plan and retirement planning.

    120,000 miles a year @ $4/gal for 10 years fuel cost:
    5 mpg = $ 960,000
    6 mpg = $ 800,000
    7 mpg = $ 685,714
    8 mpg = $ 600,000
    9 mpg = $ 533,333
    10 mpg = $ 480,000
    15 mpg = $ 320,000

$960,000 - $320,000 = $640,000 will buy a lot of trucks over 10 years, but your great resale value on that 10 year old long nose will add maybe $10,000 to your retirement. The $640,000 the 15 mpg truck saved in fuel compared to the 5 mpg long nose truck is nothing you are interested in and I am not going to bother to give you a 40 year comparison to let you guess who would have a few million to retire on compared to depending on the truck resale value and Social Security for retirement.

Let me add the Capstone Generator on-board can have a 5 year to a 9 year warranty, is a lot more efficient, will burn several types of fuels, have logged 10s of millions of hours generating, lower emissions that CARB will love you, no oil changes and only has one moving part. Now the battery system and electric motor would be real interesting to see the specs on those. I love this idea using the turbine for power generation to an electric propulsion system. The more I see the more I like it.

That's a sad comment if you really think about it. Being a business owner and never being above lower middle class.

You guys have your goals set too low....sad!

I don`t consider a 1 truck O/O with a six figure income lower middle class.

A little humor to this serious thread about future technology from something we all seen on TV in the past.....

Remember this supposedly turbine powered car prop for TV?

The concept was years ahead of it`s time.

There are car salesman with 6 figure incomes. Hell I know factory workers that have a 6 figure incline. But income is separate from profit. You may be making a 6 figure income but your still profiting a 5.
