man , that really sucks. About 2 weeks ago, I saw a guy pulling a gooseneck hot shot trailer stuck downtown under an overpass during rush hour with a tall load. So he didn't loop around the 610 and violated rush hour restriction....

cant make it out in the pic but doesn't the sign say 14-4 clearance?

Many times one makes their own "luck".
In this instance, he should have his CDL withdrawn, permanently.
    2D2D, IMO.
That's "Too Dumb to Drive" for those of you who want to adopt it & text that to anyone who you know might qualify.

I usually try to be more sympathetic, but not in this case.

Saw that last week on Col Glenn rd and i430 in little rock. Local driver with a track hoe. The DOT man on scene was awful busy writing in that little book of his.

A lot of money involved here.Id be curious to know how much damage was done to that thing he was hauling.Really have to be on your toes hauling oversize.Last yr a semi destroyed a house he was hauling. The bridge was smaller then the house.Funny him and the 2 escorts didn't notice that.

The same truck? The driver must be fairly new to that trailer, or the business altogether.

On the bright side: That may be one of those hacks that say, " I can haul it for 100% less than those prima donnas that have been milking you dry for years..."

Trucking done right is not unskilled labor. It requires many not so common traits. Like attention to detail, situational awareness, very good spatial thinking, and the ability to prioritize thinking while juggling work load; among others. The psychological type of a good heavy hauler/OSOW is very much like that of a commercial pilot--hardly unskilled labor.

You sure that is the same truck? The piece in the second picture looks pretty good for hitting a bridge in the first picture.

I don't think he hit the bridge very hard, I don't see any major damage to the bridge, and that round thing on the top of it looks like the same thing on the one under the bridge.
