Ask the drivers where you will be working what they carry...if you are in a day cab you don't wanna be hauling around a bunch of tools. Electrical tape, duct tape, good quality zip ties and a leatherman...oh and don't forget a hammer.
-
All you need is a mallet.
-
A big rubber mallet.
-
and ear plugs
-
Work gloves, leatherman or small tool set, electrical and duct tape, rubber mallet, flashlight, 5th wheel puller, clipboard you can keep papers in.
Invest in good work boots, carry sunglasses, and an extra jacket or sweater.Lux Prometheus Thanks this. -
A must would be a couple cresent wrenches
Vise grips, channel locks and a good pair of.glove's safety glasses. I prefer the mechanic type of gloves for working with a bulk tank. They are washable and they allow you to have a better feel, for the hose's and the product flow.Lux Prometheus Thanks this. -
1/4 through 1/2" drive ratchet set, ASE wrenches up to at least 1", metrics up to at least 30mm, crescent wrenches, needlenose pliers, sidecutters, 24 oz. or heavier ball peen hammer... really depends on the extent of what you'll be doing. With a mega carrier, it won't be much... with an outfit like you're talking about, it could be substantially more.

Well......what 77smartin said......ask the drivers or even wait till your hired and see what you will need. It's possible that a lot of what was mentioned your new company will supply you with and.............you don't want to go out buying stuff that you wont need or never use.

Thanks for all the advice everyone!
