Well im 24 yrs old at a dead end shipping and receiving job with no hope for a decent wage any time in the next 20 years even though I been there almost 5 years. Been really wanting to get into trucking for around a year now. Really intersted in it here lately and im ready to make the jump asap .

Probably gonna jump into it with in 2 months max. Cant hold on much longer at work. No CDL but have studied for the exam and continuing to do so . Gonna take it very soon. I was gonna attend a somewhat local school and drive back and forth from home to school but its a free ( HOPE Grant paid ) 11 weeks school. I take medicine's and 2 are pretty expensive so I cant be off with no insurrance for that long with no income coming to boot so looking for a company provided CDL.

Not looking for a top notch company. Not going in with high hopes or the world given to me. I just want my CDL , work, decent pay , 1 year exp. and be treated like a human. Looking toward Roehl maybe Millis. Still looking at my choices. Maybe Schnider but have read they boot people in training fairly quick for small things. Would like to stay out 2-3 weeks and back home for 3-4 and run SE Regional if possible.

I also have a couple speeding tickets on my record 2 with in 3 years. Both under 20mph over one is a 2 point ticket other is 1 point. No biggie I dont think.

Can someone chime in and give me some other companys that I should look at? Or maybe some help on anything. Like I said im not real picky I dont expect the BEST company just a decent one till I get my year + in.

I don't know about them ticket's bud. I've never had a ticket but I'm still getting flack from companies about work history. Look around and do your homework on them. (i.e. the pro's and con's, equipment type, pay, etc.) I can say this though. KEEP YOUR JOB! lol. Don't let your job go untill you know for a fact that you have another one lined up. There's been a few who have quit their job's giving the 2 week notice because they were going to be sent out and everything was good but that day it came to leave a problem arised or they raise a problem at the school/company and possibly say they can't except you and send you back home then your out of a job completely because the your old spot had already been filled. Gotta be real careful on this. Sometime's recruter's will tell you over the phone everything is good to go but when you get their a problem could come up and this isn't uncommon. Good luck. Hope it help's.
