Why mostly I-95? That is an expensive lane to run. Greenville is a good market but going N gets into OH and Detroit pays the better rates. How far up the 95 are you thinking?

Good start to the week. Unloaded near Knoxville, reloading now for Texas paying nicely. Plus I stay in the sunshine for a couple days!
BigBadBill, The Challenger, ampm wayne and 1 other person Thank this. -

Hey do you go into canada I have a passport?
BigBadBill Thanks this. -
Honestly?? Because rates leaving the Carolinas going up to New York and New England, 99% of the time pay great and usually only a days drive with delivery the next day.
Also because I have no desire to run "wild" chasing rates to the mid west and if I want to run south to Florida those rates 99% of the time pay great.
I understand alot of folks look at those areas as black holes but usually with a little patience, the rates going in more then makes up for the bad rate coming out.
OTOH, I have looked at running to the Michigan, Ohio market and have seen that those rates going AND coming from the Carolinas are steady, profitable rates; so why would I choose to run the I95 corridor instead?? Because when I was doing that I KNEW, I mean 100% KNEW I was gonna a MONSTER of a rate going up aleast once in a 10 day time frame!! That and D.C. Logistics kept me loaded with a solid rate without looking at the load board.
Stupid I know but I was happy........BigBadBill Thanks this. -
Losttrucker, Ive run south-north lanes so far. The rates up and back have been steady and equal both directions. Gotta do what makes you happy though. Even this Texas run should pay equal each direction, dispatch has checked with customers before sending me to a typically bad area. But the outbound load pays well enough to rate chase if i need too. I dont know which side of f2f you are looking to join, but on the Solutions side dispatch does great keeping you in profitable lanes.
losttrucker and BigBadBill Thank this. -
We can but not something that we focus on. The money seems attractive until you start to figure in all the waiting time and coming back MT.falcon71 Thanks this.

It is all about the market that you serve. For us, what freight I have that serves that market doesn't pay to justify the fuel, tolls, etc compared to what we get running north.losttrucker Thanks this.
