It it doesn't matter of they worked for a BFC, as I can tell you I never carry cash, and about the only time I do have any cash on me is if I goto ATM to pull $20.00 out for laundry. It's much easier to report wallet lost/stolen, and report it to banking, cc companies then it is to have a wallet lost/stolen and trying to get the cash back.

so maybe they like me don't carry cash, at least they were honest and didn't lie about it deliberately

I myself, usually just wave them away, window is normally closed, if they do catch me with my window down, I call their bluff on their story, Had some claim to be drivers, I asked one to show me his CDL, but he didnt know what that was, kind of clear he wasnt a trucker

 

I fell for a scam a few months back. Next time I'm going to just say "No thanks, I don't need any help." I'm thinking this guy wasn't even a driver...

i responded to a plea of needing gas money by pulling out a single from my pocket, the beggar goes, "That's it?".....oh i am sorry was I being too nice???

 

I usually tell them tomorrow is payday, sorry. Each situation is different. Sometimes I had fun, sometimes I waved them off.

One time at Iowa 80 I pulled in at night and the CB was going crazy about a stranded broke down couple and drivers want to help them buy bus tickets. I kind of took the defense and said they were crackheads. Finally when I left I stopped at the front door where they were and seen the woman crying with a baby. I gave the young man my last $65 I had on a VISA gift card and told him to take care of that baby. I could see the sincerity in his eyes. I think with what the other drivers gathered they had enough to get home. I don't know how it played out but it felt good.
