looking for experiences and thoughts of schnieder intermodal in the northeast. whats home time like? the pay?. i spoke with a recruiter earlier they told me that i could
be home most nights or i could stay out 4 days and be home 3 where i live outside the hiring area. Also i wouldn't be going outside of new england, is this really how it is? almost sounds to good to be true if you ask me. so just wondering if anyone has done this route or know of it. Thanks in advance

I run Intermodal out of Pa I am home every night and off weekends. We have local and regional and most of our drivers are home two to three nights a week. It's a good deal and we are busy how far away from the rail yard do you live.

I am about 70 miles from the railyard in lewiston which is more than what they want, but i was also told they may beable to keep me out 4-5 days and have the weekends off which actually would work out good for me

Most of the intermodal guys I know are home everday and off weekends and love it and are smoking me on pay, with me staying out 2-3 months on the road.

This thread has been old for awhile but I have a question; I'm just now getting out of the military with zero experience driving, I'll be going to school and getting my CDL and as many endorsements as possible, and then hopefully going to SNI. Does anyone know what the possibility of getting hired for intermodel, regional, or dedicated is? They have openings in Carlisle PA for these positions as new drivers, but what is the actual chance of getting hired?
