I have few questions for the experienced drivers out there for TMC.
Is TMC a good company to work for?
how many beds come standard in the trucks they give you, and size.
Will a 1 year DMV Med card for high BP keep you from making the cut?
do their trucks come with a fridge and microwave?
i look forward to hearing from you. Thanks

Any company that you work for will require you to see their doctor and get a new medical card.
If TMC is still a part of Western Express (division of), you will get a mid roof. Or at least that is what they were getting in 2007, no idea now.
As to amenities, with less than a year driven, dont expect much. They will probably give you a beat to hell older truck then upgrade you to something better after you have turned some miles. -
Do you know if arrest (no conviction, I was wrongfully arrested and later released, and 2 citations (non driving) on your record will kill your background check with TMC?
-
Your going to have to talk to the recruiter at TMC for that.

Thank you for your input lovesthedrive. If your son asked you about starting schools fresh out of CDL class, would you recommend TMC to him?

Not sure what you call a mid roof but TMC runs stand up Peterbilt's. Their upgrading all their trucks anyway. You may get a shorthood 379. Then within 6 months you'll get something else. What I heard is they're selling all 379s. -
Do you drive for TMC twin stick?
-
No, but probably will be.
-
I hear ya. Good luck man. Enjoy it.

I'm not sure who this person is, but he has never worked for TMC to be sure. He is correct that TMC will get you your Med card if you can pass but everything else is false.
TMC is not a part of Western Express. They are an independent company. The trucks in TMC's fleet are aged 379's. They are in the process of updating the fleet into brand new trucks. If you can find yourself in a 379, consider yourself lucky as they are a dying breed. They are retiring the 379 fleet as the new trucks come in.
In my opinion the new trucks fall short of the 379 that the TMC reputation had. Now they will blend in with everyone else out there. (Maverick)
Times change as well as priorities and image doesn't mean as much I guess.
TMC is a good company just the same.TwinStickPeterbilt Thanks this.
