If you are independent operators you should check with your local banks for SBA loans, they would probably have lower rates.

I have been on and off looking at truck sales from the Freightliner dealer in Salt Lake City, Warner Truck Center. http://www.warnertc.com/ They will pick you up from the airport and help you get into what ever truck you have been drooling over. Yes they sell other trucks. (KW and Petes)

What is the name of the dealer your buddy bought his truck from?

This is true and nothing unique to Transport Funding. I'm not a first time buyer and have purchased a truck and later a trailer from Arrow. Both were financed by Transport Funding at competitive rates. Another thing worth mentioning is that commercial credit is a whole different animal than personal credit. The terms are a lot tighter, rates are a bit higher, there is more equity required, and time in business under two years is pretty much a disqualifier for anything more than buy-here-pay-here terms.

I only seriously shopped Arrow after getting a timely cold call from a truck salesman I already knew from over a year earlier at his previous job. I would not have returned to Arrow to purchase a trailer if I wasn't happy with the truck deal the first time.

I have been pleased with the service I've gotten from everyone at their Atlanta store. Stephen, the salesman, was great to work with and I keep in touch with him from time to time. Unless there's been a change, he's the only one there with a CDL himself. So someone that is typically more familiar with the inventory beyond the list printed out from the computer each day. The F&I manager Alicia made the closing process trouble free. The very few things that involved management were handled fairly and promptly. I will certainly buy from Arrow again, provided they have what I am looking for.

Which is another thing worth mentioning. No matter how much a dealer is "liked," you still have to do your own research and due diligence. Don't be a payment shopper and don't let them steer you to what they have on the lot. Let them know exactly what you want, what a fair deal will be, and don't settle. If that deal happens to exist, take the time to get oil samples and dyno done before going any further. If they don't have exactly what you want, move on. If they happen to get one in, you'll be the first one to hear about it before it hits their website.
