I got a ticket in La Mirada, Ca. County of Los Angeles, for being off the truck route 1018010 42. I was actually on a detour, the truck route was closed for construction and the sheriffs deputy said I missed a turn. The freeway on ramp was maybe a 1/4 mile away, so I probably did see the on ramp and miss a turn.
My question is, is this a moving violation and will it appear on my D.M.V. printout. as the officer said "this is not a moving violation and no points".
Is this a moving violation/points?

It will still show up on your csa score. They like to tell you that this wont go on your mvr. I almost lost my lease with my company because I got a few warnings on a roadside inspection in which the state trooper told me that these will not go on my mvr. They did however go onto my csa score.

The points if any depend on the home state of your CDL. Not all states have the same violations or point value.
No CSA points if no inspection form was filled out. CSA points are only introduced into the system through the roadside or scale inspection form there no other way.
Lastly drivers do not have a CSA score per say. Items that create CSA scores for carriers show up on your PSP. Any driver CSA "scores" for drivers are Calcuated by your carrier, or insurance company. -
I don't think that necessarily is true if one gets pulled over and gets a speeding ticket, no inspections done that speeding ticket going to hit the csa score card.
-
Wrong, go check your regs

Ok I have been nailed but yet gotten csa points and no inspections done. So much for rules right

Hey thanks guys, if it's no moving violation or points, I might as well pay the ticket.
-
Yeah, I hope it's true that it's not a moving violation, the last time I got a ticket and the officer told me that it wasn't a moving violation, it never showed up on my printout.

this is correct
this is not correct

They don't always come out and say you are getting an inspection nor perform one. They can fill out the paperwork for a Level 4 which is item specific or even a level 5 and you not be present.
He didn't hand you a strange piece of paper with the violation noted on it?
States like LA you'll get an inspection and 3-4 weeks later you'll get a nice ticket in the mail when you get home.
