Yeah I've been reading the forms for a month and seen a lot of negative stuff about CR but majority of them came from people that leased a truck with them so i kind of just wrote it off. I know CR isn't the best but I'm just looking for somewhere to pay my dues/get my cdl/experience and hopefully find a local job when i do go back to school

Any company sponsored programs you can recommend? -
Lots of info here Jared, all will be tough going however. There is nothing good about CRE and could quite possibly put you further behind debt wise... a decent list was given, start there. All the student companies have issues, but CRE is the worst. Central seems ok from what I know, Millis... just stay away from any place that pushes a lease. I do wish success for you however.

Trucking is not a pay off all my bills get rich quick kinda thing , especially with no experience.
I would brew and sell moonshine ,Moving Forward Thanks this. -
Doing things the hard way...
If I were you, and I really didn't want to truck, I wouldn't go trucking. With all the industrial jobs in Texas, why not instead, go to a trade school, learn a trade and get your foot in the door of one of a heavy industry company? Or join the military.Joetro Thanks this. -
I also agree. been truck driving since 2006........ the only thing good about CRE is when they are at rest stops or truck stops.... I usually pee on their tires.

FFE has a tanker division working the Texas oil fields.
Other than that, Millis would be my first choice.DriverToBroker Thanks this. -
So, if you are waning to work a couple of uears to pay off your student loan, understand that your first hear in trucking will be pretty much paying off your CDL schooling...
Not trying to discourage you. Just making sure you have the right information to make an informed decision.Swamprat55 and Moving Forward Thank this. -
Ultimately taking off school and everything is your decision, but please for the love of god do not go to CR England. As a young guy ( 21 ) who is about to start my trucking career this Wednesday with Werner, I wouldn't touch CR England with a 10000000 foot pole, I'd honestly rather work at McDonalds. I don't think I've ever seen anything good said about them. Even though you're not going to make much, and aren't going to get a creme of the crop company with no experience, there are many better places to go then CR England. Depending on where you are, but look into Swift, Werner, Millis, US Xpress, CRST ( if you want to team ), Melton, Schneider, Prime.
Swamprat55, DriverToBroker and Chucktaylor Thank this. -
