Dang and I thought i was getting fancy schmancy with my crackpot roast. As far as fruit goes i prefer apples and oranges anyway and have the benefit of not needing refrigeration.

I've fried tilapia several times and I need to open all the windows when I do but it's done in a few minutes luckily, as long as it's fresh/recently thawed it shouldn't smell too bad.

If you are solo and can run an inverter, we use 2 small 110 refrigerators. (Have them tied to the upper bunk for safety) 1 to keep stuff cold and the other as cold as it will go. It will not "freeze" food but if you buy stuff frozen it will keep it frozen for a few days. Ice Cream too... But after about 3 days it will turn to soft serve... lol....

I just got one of these portable induction burners to go along with my microwave, Crockpot, and Foreman Grill. I've only used it once thus far, but it works very well.

I have been using my lunch box cooker.. and enjoyed it a lot.. sure does save money... I am looking forward to expanding my truck driver culinary skills and will be doing some cat walk cooking and griilin...
I dont know if it is just me.. but I really enjoy cooking my meals on the road and it relaxes me.. -

The smoked salmon I've seen out is fully cooked. It's really great chunked over a bed of baby greens. Lots of protein and great source of Omega 3. Yum!

Fundamentally I've been eating most of my produce raw (salads). The benefits:
1. Raw produce fills you up more than cooked produce.
2. Raw produce retains more vitamins and minerals than cooked produce.
3. Raw produce retains cellulose, "roughage", than cooked produce.
I've been able to manage without cooking food for over a year on the road. I heat water for coffee and for oatmeal or cous cows, but that's the extent of my cooking. If you eat raw produce you will be more satisfied because the bulk of the content of salads is going to fill you up, and the roughage in the salads will keep you more regular and will have more vitamins and minerals. -
Salad? Greens?
