Sales speak.....BS. I started with a F350 and a 40' Load Trail....make sure it's 102" wide. Personally, I wouldn't buy one under 40' it just limits what you can haul, and I mean seriously limits it. And F250, I'd add air bags....helps tremendously.
Texas Pride makes a good trailer....and they have quite a few used ones. I paid 6000 for both of my first two trailers, used, with excellent tires, and both trailers were no more than 4 years old, but keep in mind, 4 years could be 400k miles.
i did the hot shot thing for 7 months....hard, and just about wore my truck out. I decided to step up to a single axle freightliner columbia, and love it....pulled the same 40' gooseneck (5th wheel adapter) for about 5 months, and now have a 50' step deck.....air ride, air brakes......and I can haul up to about 35000#, but with the single axle, you just gotta get that center right. 25k.....much more forgiving. It's a great setup.....(and it will be on ebay pretty soon...., lol) I got 2 great offers from Keen and Maverick......only thing left is to decide which.....It's looking like Keen.
