Looking for a very good Authorized Cummins Mechanic to totally rebuild a pre egr N14 for a possible new glider. I understand Fitzgeralds only uses aftermarket parts on the 60 series 12.7 and I'm not totally sold on Detroit and anything other than genuine parts is not for me. If I decided this is the route I want to go I will have the glider delivered to that shop for the installation of the motor and trans.
I'm still looking at new just weighting pros and cons of both. It doesn't make me any difference if I go to Cal or not. Just going to do my thing on the Southern Lanes.

Nope going from dirt scratch. My mind is telling me a glider because of a better chance for being a lot more reliable than going with new and facing downtime. Just my personal feeling at the moment.

One note of caution, make certain that the N-14 your looking into is a Celect +. The N-14 Celect will NOT work in a current production glider kit. I'd hate to see anyone spend money on a drivetrain that is not compatible with the new glider's chassis interface. Also, I would reccomend taking a look at the Cummins Factory Recon N-14 C+, better warranty and a better build profile on the engine.

I have looked at the 60 Series but having some trouble deciding which one to go with if I decide to go with a glider.

Jr's Truck Repair in Kanapolis NC. IMO there is no one any better. He is competent, thorough, meticulous, and fair priced. If you are interested pm me and I will give you his number. It might be a couple of days before I am back on here. I live in south GA and I took a CAT to him to rebuild. He does CAT and Detroit.

Good. I will PM you have a question for you I'm also looking into this microblue process for the internal parts along with other parts but I need to make a choice of either the 12.7 or the N14 C+.
