I'm familiar with 2010 cummins ISX engines we have in our '11 fleet trucks (Kenworths) and I know they have had huge problems with the catalytic systems. I was wondering if any who are running the newer (2013) Cummins ISX15 are happy with the engine from a cost and maintenance standpoint (owner operator). Have they corrected the emissions system issues? Any other input you care to share about the 2013 ISX15 in your experiences?
I'm about to begin looking at 2013 and newer trucks, and probably only at Peterbilt or Kenworth if I can get past any cummins concerns. Thanks.

I worked for a guy less then a yr ago, that has 3 - 389's. 2 2013s and a 2014. I do not know where you haul but I would strongly consider a glider kit. At 90k one of them went into peterbilt for the egr cooler. The 2014 had less then 10k miles and it was in the shop for over a week for emission related problems. Working for this guy and now owning a few of my own trucks I can say I will never own anything with emissions.

I'm going to get the emissions. I suspect that before a new truck today wears out, it will be required for more states besides CA and CA can not be put off limits in my future or today.

We have a 2013 t660 with a cummins isx15 and we have topped over 200k with zero repairs. We run from west coast to east coast hauling reefer. It is governed at 65 and the mpg is great always higher than 7 no matter how heavy. Average at 8.2 mpg and gotten as high as 9.5
