I've decided I like a L/P as long as I'm getting good pay and the miles are right. but first about myself,I worked for Eagle (leased onto werner) for 2 years putting up with low miles/pay and barely making it. I was looking from almost day one for a better carrier and after much debate I chose JCT. this was a good move for me I'm pretty easy to get along with and have only a few expectations about driving 1, don't rip me off 2, pay me what you owe me 3, get me home close to what I've asked for 4, be honest with me. I was at JCT for almost 3 years.
I had very little to ##### about with JCT, I'd still be there if my wife hadn't gotten cancer. she's doing much better and I'm looking to roll again. in about 2 years nine months with JCT I paid off over $40,000 in debt.
so the gist of this post is; what carriers will give me a real opportunity for pay, I will stay out as much as 5-7 weeks for 5-7 days off, forced dispatch ok, no NYC (been there it sucks) rolling hard is fine sitting for days is not. refrigerated preferable.
any other questions or requirements I'd gladly answer.

If you were so happy at JCT why not go back to them?

my first thought about going back on the road was go back to JCT, they turned me down. might have been how I left, I had to come off the road because my wife was ill and they had to come get my truck. I was home for hometime.

Are you looking only for a lease plan? If not check out Lessors out of Dover FL. There is a guy on here who drives for them and is content. I'm thinking of applying there myself.
mje and valkyrie52 Thank this. -
Sounds like in there eyes you abandoned there truck... You might have a little trouble getting another trucking job... Did you get a copy of your DAC? See if they put "Truck abandonment" on there? I hope not for you... You can get your free DAC once a year... Sorry to hear about your wife, glad things are going better...AnarchyRose80, valkyrie52 and born&raisedintheusa Thank this. -
There's a guy on here who did a LP with ACT I believe, out of Liberty, Mo. or is it Liberty City, Mo. Now my brain is going into a funk, I think ACT stands for American Central Transport, but talk with them, this guy was happy, you can do a search on here to find it. Yeah I just googled them, out of Liberty Mo. n. of K.C.
