Ya drivers make sure to increase your distance but you 4 wheelers go ahead and tailgate semis, officers don't care.
ewill71, thelastrebel, Sly Fox and 5 others Thank this. -
How about enforce the dumb 4-wheelers that pass you and get in front, see a cop then seem to forget which pedal makes it go, even when BELOW THE SPEED LIMIT... ???
OPUS 7, nshore harleyguy, pattyj and 1 other person Thank this. -
Good Point. I am not even in my truck yet but I see this all the time here.
-
It's a world wide epidemic. Stupid that is. I can't drive a 300 mile trip w/out at least 1 near miss. Finally had enough of it and called in I'm not available for a while and Spring is just around the corner. That's when they go bat&%9@. Guess I'm just used up. I'm done.
48Packard Thanks this. -
The target enforcement aside, that area seems to be the great black hole of four wheel driving sense. You cannot go 3 miles without someone either way up your ### or diving in on your front bumper. I hate running anywhere on 80 from Cleveland to PA.

I dont have that problem 4 wheelers see the cameras on the mirrors of my rig they become very good drivers really fast. -
Hmm I should put cameras on my car, brilliant.
-
They must be pretty big cameras for them to see them from that far back - if they are even looking.
And, get real. If they are close enough to see a small camera on your mirror, they are right beside you - not behind you in the blind spot! -
Frankly I'm glad they are going to start enforcing safe following distances. Many so called professional drivers have no clue what the phrase means. I've had trucks so close to my trailer, you couldn't of squeezed a smart car between us, and that's at 65 mph with no other vehicles in miles. I've slowed down to 40 mph before they wake up and go around. Yes, 4 wheelers are guilty as well, but who's supposed to be the professional here?
At highway speeds, in IDEAL driving conditions, you should have 7 seconds between you and the vehicle in front of you. This is a general rule of thumb. Increase this number in adverse weather, congestion, vehicle conditions, etc.Cranky Yankee, SlowPoke44magnum, TURKER and 5 others Thank this.
