My plan B is my Plan A, I will just raise my rates! I was just at the Mid American Trucking show and I sat in on a seminar where I heard some very good advice. The very biggest mistake o/o's make is by asking "what does the load pay". Now think about if you called a plumber out to your house and he asked you what you wanted to pay. Same thing goes for us. All of us have different cost per mile operating costs, some of us can afford to drive for $1 a mile and some guys need $2 plus a mile to pay for their truck. We are our own company and we tell them what WE charge as a company and if they don't like it they can go find someone else. The bottom feeders are the BIGGEST problems out there and trust me they won't be around much longer running as cheap as they do!

Don't you bet on it. When you're that huge, you can run cheap.
Suppose your truck makes a net profit of $1/day. If you have 5 trucks on your fleet, you won't be around too long. If you have 10,000 trucks, you can survive indefinitely. -
This is why you set yourself up to make way more than a $1 a day profit. Are you trying to tell me that every small fleet owner is going broke right now? If so I can arque that with you that there is PLENTY of small fleet owners making money!
