From your attitude it wouldn't surprise me one bit if you were a weekend dispatcher that has nothing better to do then be a jerk.

There are 3 news stories about her. None mention black ice or why the truck went off the road.
Her obit says she left behind 3 children and that she worked for covenant. No other details offered.
    Had she been driving long?

Lol.. then it always comes to this... you must be a dispatcher, Recruiger...

No, I am Driver who drives for werner and I am happy with werner.. and, I am not tne only.. werner has a lot of drivers.. some happy and some not...

I dont have an attitude... but, it is very annoying that anytime any driver says they drive for werner the werner bashings begin...

Then when a driver says I drive for werner and I am happy...

you werner bashers start throwing out that we must be dispatchers or recruiters...

You just can not accept the fact that there are driver who drive for werner who are happy there..

If werner is so bad.. why the jealousy... why the need to bash..

I never bashed Werner everything I posted was complete truth. That's the difference I don't need to lie about a company or how it is. I've been through it personally.

Ah yes, I once was a graduate just getting into the great industry of trucking. Got many, many pre-hires. Figured I'd go with a company that had a name, been around, had tons of equipment so I could make a decent living and have plenty of miles. Having a son I thought why not one of these famous dedicated accounts that all Werner drivers say are the real reason Werner is GREAT. Dollar tree home every weekend making 1,200 dollars a week at .46 cents .36 if you didn't get the safety bonus.sounds good to a student coming right out of school what a way to lure them in and lie right to them over the phone. Looking back on it how can I be so guliable? Hey, I'm just a guy getting into the industry I didn't think companies were so shady. I was wrong. Before that let me say I did research and boy there was bad and there was good but not much. So I took the chance and I'll truly find out if this company is everything everyone who drive for Werner really says it is. First trainer was great owner op who is running basically his own company through them. His dispatcher was great and his name was Blake. Never did we get a load uner 850-2,000 miles. I thought to myself this might actually be a good company. Recieved all 3's on my training a great right up on how I would be a great addition to the company. I was safe, I could drive I could really become somthing in this industry. Getting back to the dollar tree account I thought I would be getting miles and not to mention at the time it was 100$ per trailer unloaded after touching every box of freight. I did it for 5 weeks and then had enough after my runs were to inner city's Long Island, New York, Hartford with a 70" sleeper peterbilt 387 and a 53ft trailer. I had no accidents and with a 200% turnover rate I said to myself I'm not making any money because the miles were 200 mile runs and then each stop was 10-30 miles away. I wouldn't give up I wanted to stay I wanted to make it work.

I said, I'll keep with this company I can drive I'll make it up in miles. Switched my account. Never had a late load nothing to make them treat me like this. Pay went to .30 cents a mile. Empty and dead head miles were cut to .15 cents a mile. Started getting loads from drop yards to cons that were 3
56 loaded and 100 empty. Some miles were zero, ZERO and 50 empty. Why am I being treated like this. I still have the note book at home 250 loaded 100 empty.I called my dispatcher he sighed at me and then chuckled. Is it because they polished my training off got the money from the goverment that you get for training a student and basically said he isn't trainin, he isn't leasing let's run him dry and let the next batch come in. I still to this day don't understand why they ran me out but I do find it hard to believe that you're doing so great. My roomate who I still keep in contact still works there. He wants to leave but you know what they did. He was in a tight spot and his truck got stuck so he needed someone to pull him so he could get traction. They put on his DAC he got towed away. How messed up is that. I told him they're basically making you stay because who would hire him after that not many.

Which leaves me to ask. What are you doing for an account? Are you lease/training? Are you over the road? What's your in come weekly and how many miles are you getting?

Went to J&R got flown out on a plane. My own suite in a hotel. A 2012 kenworth with 250,000 miles and I reall do make 1,140 after taxes. Life is good and no I don't make that every week but I do make 750 after taxes and they treat me with respect. My dispatcher treats me like a man and praises to me I'm a good runner and an assets to this company. I'm happy and it's my second company ever. Probably will be my only one until I'm ready to hang it up and go local tanker hauling but until then I couldn't be any happier with them.

I will admit . I am on a good account... not all adontunts are equal.. and unfortunately whefe you live determines what accounts are available to you... I am lucky I live in Bellevue NE, just sojth of Omaha on the I 80 and I 29 corridor...

j am on the Dray account.. whicn is primarily an intermodal account... it is pretty mucn drop and hook, I get .34cpm loaded lr deadhead, and safety pay stop n drop pay and such... I generally pick up a load in schuyler Ne and run it to the rail yard in edgerton ks or Kansas City... 255 miles one way I usually get one round trip and and halfway to 3/4 on the next load.. I have gotten better and faster and things so I average about 2500 miles a week... I usually drop and hook about two three trailers a day... there isn't a lot if any waiting for a load.. ussalh have a preassigned load before I drop the load I am under...

I am not a trainer as I only have 6 months experience and still learning myself.. and I really enjoy being solo and not willing to share my truck space yet...

I know that not everyone is on as good account as I am on.. I am lucky to have a good fleet manager ...

I am happy for you that you are with a company that you are happy at and making good money.. it was not working for you at werner but you got th experience you needed to move on..

And I think that is what drivers need to do.. they need to be responsible for their fate.. if you are a student, dont settle for a bad trainer. There are good ones out there.. if you are with a good trainer but it isnt working between you.. get anotner... when you are off the truck.. if you have tried and it just isn't working, try a different account, different dispatcher... if things do t get beffer and hou have so e experience under your belt.. choose another company...

If you are happy where you are.. do a good job, don't screw it up...

Keep your CDL clean... if things take a furn for tne worse.. then move on.. with a clean CDL and experience you should be able to make vood money and be happy.
