I got a huge pile about three feet thick stacked up in my closet. When the stack gets really huge I will transfer them to my attic. I like collecting them. Plus just in case some bs happens way in the future I have some evidence to protect me.
Do you keep your BOL paperwork?

I usually turn that in with my paperwork
-
We just transflo and keep the original copies.
-
Once the load is delivered an no longer in your control, how would retaining the BOL be of any use/value to anyone in the future?
-
To show where I was, what I delivered, who checked me out at what time. Either way I like to collect them and every now and then look at a random one that I totally cannot remember. One day I may recycle the whole thing.
-
I keep them for 3 months and if in that time they dont ask for another copy cause they lost the one they had and don't want to admit it but they will say you never turned it in you didn't scan it
-
Once I'm paid for it(assuming I'm working for a company that has a scanning service) I round file it.

You and my girlfriend would get along great ..she has this paper fetish, as I say. She will not throw any kind of paper stuff away. She is keeping her ex-father-in-laws taxes from 1949 ! I'm serious.
