what happen when you run out of DEF?

    When you run out, power will be de-rated and truck will only run 50mph until you shut it off. After you shut it of and try to restart truck will travel at only 5mph.

    ECM for engine will often have to be reset to restore un-de-rated mode.

    Many places to get DEF.... Most Auto parts-walmart.... Absolutely no reason to be without it in your truck

    Your truck shuts off and while you fall asleep waiting for the tow truck four hrs away enrout a bunny rabbit named "cow" comes out of the def tank and nibbles your balls off in the sleeper.

    I would not carry a box of that around it has a shelf life. Old def is worse than none.

    Well, The big issue with carrying extra DEF with you in the truck is that if it leaks it will eat through pretty much anything it touches. I have seen DEF eat right through the floor in the jockey box. My last company prohibited carrying extra DEF in the truck because of this.

    It eventually derate to the point that it will barely move. Definitely want to add more before you're explaining a road service call.

    I heard haven't happen to me yet I always fill my def when I fuel even if its 1/2 gallon worth that the engine will have to be rebuilt if ran with out def
